To listen on an Android phone, we recommend Scanner Radio. Scanner Radio is a free application that provides you access to all of the feeds on Radio Reference. Use the the QR code here to download Scanner Radio, and make sure you add Boston Police as a favorite for quick access.


iPhone

There are several options to listen in on your iPhone. Search iTunes for “police scanner” and pick your favorite. We do not endorse any iPhone add at this time.

 

Listen from the BostonPDLive Icecast Server

To provide a redundant back up for the Radio Reference servers, we have established our own Icecast server for the feed. This will allow listeners to tune in even when the Radio Reference servers go down. The Radio Reference feed is a clone of our Icecast server, and both serve up text tags to allow you to follow along with the traffic.
