Two Men Shot in Allston and Woman Falls from Parking Garage

shots rang out at 12:21 am last night, bringing police from across the area to the small street off Comm Ave. Two men were found inside an apartment each suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. Boston EMS arrived on scene and transported both men, one to Beth Israel Hospital and the other to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At the time they were transported both men were described as conscious but in serious condition, and at this time no update on them has been released. Boston Police said the men were shot several times each with a small caliber firearm. Although no suspect’s names have been released, witnesses were able to provide a detailed description of the shooter and an accomplice to the investigators.
A few hours later police were called to the parking garage at 200 Stuart St for a victim of a fall. Police arrived and found a woman laid out on the sidewalk next to the garage. Boston EMS responded and despite their best effort, the woman was pronounced dead from the injuries she sustained. Police closed off the area and were interviewing a goup of the women’s friends who were with her at the time. At one point all available officers in the Down Town area were called to the scene to secure the garage. Preliminary investigation showed that the women fell from around the third floor of the building, and that there was no foul play involved.
Channels Added for First Night

In preparation of Boston’s First Night celebration, we have added Boston PD Channel 1 and 12 to the feed. We anticipate traffic on both channels in support of the First Night celebration. We will be monitoring the feed throughout the night, and if traffic on the regular district channels become more interesting we will remove them from the feed.
BPD Announces First Night Traffic Notices
In preparation of the annual New Year’s Eve celebration “First Night”, Boston police have announced a list of temporary No Parking Zones. A small number of the streets are posted as no parking from Thursday through Sunday while the majority are only restricted on Sunday. All of the posted zones will be considered Tow Zones. Although BPD have released the list, they urge drivers to pay attention to temporary signage as additional postings may be made as necessary. Check out the complete list after the break.
The MBTA have also announced additional trains and an extended running time during the celebration. Both the City of Boston and the MBTA urge people attending First Night to consider using public transit to come into the city. The MBTA will be running free from 8:00 pm on Saturday through the remainder of the night. For a list of when the last trains will depart check out this page on the MBTA’s website.

In Remembrance of Woburn PD Officer Maguire
In the middle of a snow storm on December 26, 2010, the night after Christmas Officer John Maguire of the Woburn Police was shot and killed in the line of duty. Officer Maguire was a 34 year veteran of the force with plans to retire in a few months. He was responding to a report of an armed robbery at a Kohl’s department store when the men inside the store came out firing. Officer Maguire and his fellow officers took cover and returned fire. Officer Maguire was hit and mortally wounded.

Two men robbed the store, one was shot and killed by police and the second was captured a short distance away attempting to get into a car. The man shot and killed by police, 57 year old Dominic Cinelli, was on parole for previous violent offenses. His 19 year old counter part is facing murder charges in connection with the robbery.
A year following the tragic death of Officer John Maguire his family, friends, and co-workers will be gather at the Kohl’s store near an impromptu memorial to honor him. As a tribute to his service, the city’s post office will be renamed in honor of Officer Maguire. Officer Maguire made the supreme sacrifice in service to his city, and our thoughts and prayers go to his family and co-workers tonight. May he rest in peace.
Boston PD Broadcast’s Santa BOLO
Just after 6pm on Christmas Eve Boston Police Operations broadcasted a BOLO for all units. Per order of the Commisioner all officers were to do what ever is needed to support Santa’s operations and to put milk and cookies out at all district house. A special team was established by the department to support Santa’s mission this year.

Man Fatally Stabbed on Christmas Eve
Boston Police responded to the area of 100 Meridian Street in East Boston on a report of a man down according to a press release by the BPD. Upon the arrival of officers they found a male in his twenties on the ground suffering from a stab wound. Boston EMS responded to the scene and transported the man to MassGeneral where he was later pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began investigating. A suspect described as wearing a green shirt and a beige backpack was relayed by the police. No further details are available currently.
Update December 26, 2011 @ 5:00 pm- Boston Police have identified the victim of the stabbing as Edgar Felipe Ospina, 21, of Boston. No further details have been released about the incident.
Man Shot on Lenox St
Just after noon time Friday shots rang out on Lenox St in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood. Witness reports indicated the two men fired 5 to 6 shots, striking and seriously injuring the victim. The two men then fled the area in a car with an unknown discription.
The unidentified man was rushed to a Boston hospital, and his condition has not been released. Early reports indicated a second man had been shot, however after further review it appears the man was injured in an unrelated assault.
