Audio from Geneva Ave Shooting
We have posted audio from Sunday’s shooting on Geneva Ave. The gunfire left one teen dead, and another seriously injured.

The incident, which involved multiple gunshots in the busy street during the day, has angered both political leaders and community member. Boston Police have promised a list of increased actions to combative the gang and gun violence in the neighborhood.
BPD Detail Officer Finds Large Fight
On Wednesday September 21 at just after 6:00 pm a Boston PD Officer working a private detail on Massachusetts Ave at Allsttate Rd came across a large fight. The officer called into Operations in trouble, bringing officers from across the area to help. BPD Channels 3 and 6 were patched together for the response.

Two Teens Shot on Geneva St
Just after 3:00 pm on Sunday September 25 two teenage males were shot, leaving one seriously injured and the other dead. The shooting happened in broad daylight on a busy Dorchester street, and police are still searching for the shooter. Information released by Boston PD today indicated that a 16 year old male was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead and a 14 year old was also transported to BMC with life threatening injuries. Multiple police units responded to the scene, along with detectives and the crime scene unit. Witnesses were able to provide a description of the shooter to police, however they were unable to locate them at this time.

Possible Streaming Issue
Due to a large scale power outage in the entire Southwestern United States, the data center that provides our Icecast server (stream.bostonpdlive.com) is currently operating on generator power. The shift to generators was seamless, and they expect to be able to remain operational during the outage. We will continue to monitor the situation, and will make alternate arrangements should there be long term downtime.
